5DT would like to work with you to develop your application! We can supply you with turnkey solutions, that may include some, or all, of the following phases:

	Conceptualization During this phase we will brainstorm with you, and present you with different concepts or approaches to meet your requirements. We will also utilize our wide range of existing products/projects to illustrate specific concepts and ideas.
	User Requirement Specification (URS) Development During this phase we will formalize your requirements, based on a specific concept or approach. A technology demonstrator (see below) could be developed to finalize this phase.
	Technology Demonstrations A Technology Demonstrator is an ideal visualization tool to show you (the client), or the decision making body, what the final application will be like. A Tech Demo could be developed to fine-tune the User Requirement Specification, and also to develop the Technical Specifications.
	Technical Specification Development The main purpose of a Technical Specification is to translate user requirements into technical requirements that can be measured at the end of the development cycle. 5DT's experience with the development of training simulators will help you to develop a technical specification that will significantly reduce your risk on the one hand, and will act as a good guideline for development on the other hand.
	Application Development With a technical specification in hand, the application may be developed. We normally schedule specific milestones during the development so that progress may be measured. This also provides the client with specific go/no-go breakpoints.
	Commissioning At the end of the development the system will be commissioned. An Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) is normally performed to verify that the application fulfills both the Technical Specifications and the User Requirements.
	Training 5DT normally trains a core group of instructors/users after the system has been commissioned. Annual refresher training may also be negotiated.
	Service Contracts 5DT normally offers a one year warranty for all its products. Full service contracts may also be negotiated. Our standard approach is to install a modem with the simulator/system/application. This helps us to provide on-line support for the software.

5DT Software Development Kit (5DT SDK) (Rapid Development)
At 5DT, the concept of re-using code is not only a myth. 5DT developed their own Software Development Kit (5DT SDK). The 5DT SDK is a comprehensive set of C++ class libraries that contain components for building Virtual Reality applications. This fully documented SDK enables 5DT developers to share and re-use developed code. Using the 5DT SDK, technology demonstrators and full training solutions may be developed much faster than before.

The SDK also enables 5DT to train new developers, and get them up and running in a very short time. This puts us in a position where we can increase our capacity (workforce) very rapidly, should the need arise.

Technology Demonstrator Concept
When developing a new VR Training Simulator or a CBT System, 5DT normally starts with a Technology Demonstrator (Tech Demo). The Tech Demo addresses key issues and features of the proposed Training Simulator or Training System. The objective is to put together a working system that can be demonstrated to prospective users, so that they can fine-tune their requirements, based on a working prototype. The Tech Demo also demonstrates 5DT's mastery of the critical technologies, greatly reducing the development risk for the prospective client or user. It is particularly useful during the final stages of developing User Requirement Specifications (URSs), because it enables the prospective user/client to visualize the end product. The Tech Demo is an ideal tool to implement user/client customization.
